I work security at nights.

Which technology would you recommend for security surveillance? Night vision or thermal imaging?

Night vision can be had much less expensively than thermal. Most applications are satisfied with night vision. The more you spend the better resolution and light amplification you will get. A reasonable gen one goggle is half a grand. Gen two monoculars start at about twice that. A thermal starts at over six grand. A model similar to what our military uses is about $3500 or so depending on who makes it, such as this ATN http://www.tactical-store.com/ts-at-nv-pvs14-3a-2aa.html
