Spotting scope to see bullet holes at 400 yards.

I am trying to find a spotting scope that you can see bullet holes at 400 yards and in a price range of $300 - $600. Any recommendations?

Hi

Not going to happen at that price and even if you spend $1400 and up on a premium scope - and that is what you will in terms of optical quality at that distance - more days than no the atmosphere will shut you down at 400 yards. For some good 300 yard scopes,assumin g the atmosphere is cooperating, you can't beat the Bushnell Elite 20-60x80 or the Brunton Eterna 20-60x80. Really tough to beat these two for the dollar.

Your budget of $300-600 is more than sufficient to get you a good scope meeting your specifications. You should however go in only for the reputed brand names such as Nikon, Leupold, Simmons, Burris etc, and not any locally made stuff.
