Hi there guys. What material Wiley X prescription lenses are made of? Polycarbonate or some other cheaper plastic? Thanks for your help.

Wiley X prescription sunglasses are offered with polycarbonate impact resistant Rx lenses in our on-line store. Our lab specializes in making prescription safety glasses. The prescription lenses meet the same OSHA and ANSI standards non-prescription plano Wiley X lenses do.

i think they use polycarbonate coz cheaper plastic materials are dangerous, i don't think they want to take the risk of the health of their customer

You are right, jazs. If the eyewear is ANSI rated and the lab takes the non-Rx lenses out and installs prescription lenses, the Rx lenses should meet the same ANSI standards. We follow this rule.
